What a Wellness Visit Includes

A wellness visit is a complete check-in on your pet’s health. Our veterinarian examines your pet from nose to tail, listens to the heart and lungs, checks the eyes, ears, mouth, skin, coat, joints, and abdomen, and discusses any changes you have noticed at home.

Depending on your pet’s age, lifestyle, and medical history, the visit may also include vaccinations, parasite screening and prevention, routine laboratory testing, nutrition guidance, dental evaluation, and recommendations tailored to their individual needs.

Why Preventive Care Matters

Pets cannot always show us when something is wrong. Regular examinations give us the opportunity to identify subtle changes before they become painful, difficult, or costly to treat. They also create a reliable health history that helps our team recognize what is normal for your pet over time.

Consistent preventive care is especially important as puppies and kittens develop, adult pets’ needs change, and senior pets become more likely to develop arthritis, dental disease, heart conditions, kidney disease, and other age-related concerns.

What to Expect

Bring any medications or supplements your pet takes, relevant medical records, and a list of questions or changes you have noticed. If testing or follow-up treatment is recommended, our team will explain why and help you understand the next steps.
