Hospital Policies

Our policies are designed to keep you, our staff and your pet safe.

Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases will always receive top priority and may result in an occasional appointment delay. We will make every effort to keep you informed of unexpected wait times. Please realize we make a sincere attempt to see each patient on time.

When appropriate, we may offer a ‘drop off’ appointment. Drop off appointments may be utilized for testing and collection of samples that require precise timing. We may also offer drop offs if our appointment schedule is full and you would like your pet to be seen that day. The doctor will examine your pet between scheduled appointments and during time reserved to take care of admitted patients. Once the doctor completes their examination they will call you to go over findings and make recommendations. If a drop off appointment would benefit your pet or your schedule, please ask our receptionists about that option.

For the safety of all the animals in our care and to stay in compliance with local and state laws, we require an up to date rabies vaccination on every pet. Patients remaining in our care as a drop off, surgery, grooming or boarding are also required to be vaccinated against diseases that are infectious between other patients in the hospital (kennel cough, distemper/parvo and feline distemper).

Patient Arrival Policy

For the safety of all humans and pets in the hospital, each patient must be properly restrained on a leash or in a carrier that allows you to maintain full control of your pet prior to entering the building.

We understand that your pet may be nervous in our hospital and during their examination. We use a variety of techniques to minimize stress and ensure safety – including treats and distractions. We may recommend a muzzle for safety. If your pet continues to be nervous despite our best efforts or if safety becomes a concern – we may stop the appointment and try another day with prescription medication to decrease stress. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns before or during your appointment and we are happy to come up with a plan to keep your pet as stress free as we can!

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, cash and personal checks.
